Overview:

I am a university-trained writing consultant with extensive experience working in academic, volunteer, and professional backgrounds as both a college employee and a freelancer. Having earned my PhD in Rhetoric/Digital Literacy from and taught for one of the most inventive and respected Rhetoric & Writing programs in the US, I have particular expertise and experience with technical, professional/business, and academic writing in a wide variety of subjects and genres. Such experience includes, but is not limited to, conducting interdisciplinary doctoral research on algorithms and search engines, training in providing specialized feedback to consultants in different majors, experience in teaching and curriculum design for diverse majors, and general university and non-university professional background. ✏ General editing, proofreading, fact-checking, formatting, and writing consultation.

✏ Project planning and management. Are you having trouble getting a project off the ground? I can collaborate with you to brainstorm ideas, establish a clear focus, and develop a manageable plan to achieve your goals.

✏ Academic writing assistance. I have experience teaching students in various majors and working in my field in humanities, social science, and STEM research. I can provide subject-appropriate feedback on writing style, citations, formatting, and organization.

✏ Digital writing content. I can proofread, edit, conduct accessibility audits for websites, evaluate interface design and UX/UI evaluations in different formats, and provide general feedback on digital content. I can also help you stylize your social media bios and professional portfolios.

✏ SEO strategy. I am familiar with SEO content writing from years of various work, including, but not limited to, teaching digital literacy and research methods and my doctoral work on algorithmic filtering in search engines. Depending on the project, I can use tools such as Google Search Console, SEO Power Suite, different HubSpot tools, Moz, or others to identify and strategize how to make your online content easier for search engines to access.

✏ Data analysis and research methods. I am familiar with qualitative and quantitative research methods; particularly, how to use digital tools (such as machine learning) to study digital technology. I have academic and professional experience in data analysis, qualitative and quantitative research methods, metadata writing, and website infrastructure, and how to use digital tools such as AI and machine-learning driven methods to conduct and evaluate research.

Please do not ask me to help you plagiarize. I will not fake a letter of recommendation for you, ghostwrite a school assignment, or help you pass off as your own writing that did not come from you, which includes many uses of generative AI.
